Ryan  Rohde

Executive Director

Ryan has extensive knowledge of the outpatient behavioral healthcare industry and has been directly involved from the beginning stages with the development and operation of numerous outpatient behavioral health clinics.

Ryan has a heavy emphasis on clinic and culture development, and organizational structuring, Ryan works diligently to provide pragmatically crafted solutions in these areas, while ensuring the culture within the organization is unparalleled. Ryan brings an understanding that there is no polarity when it comes to business operations and people as service providers, and that focusing on the people in an organization, and their measurable goals, are what leads to true growth and sustainability.

Prior to joining our team, Ryan was a senior consultant with C4 Consulting, a behavioral health consulting firm. Ryan was intimately involved in growth, sale, acquisition, and culture development of several clinics in the Midwest ranging from independent practices to mid-sized organizations of 50+ clinical staff.

Hank Sherman

Clinical Director

Hank Sherman, Ph.D., M.B.A received his doctorate from the University of Connecticut where he specialized in the study of the development and learning of social skills and social behavior in the family environment.

He has practiced in Community Mental Health in Oregon, as well as over 20 years of private practice in Santa Rosa, California. During those years, he began to specialize in working with Men and with the problems Men encounter in modern life. Leading Men’s Groups and supporting Men to be better partners in relationships and better parents became, and continues to be, an important part of his
practice.

Dr. Sherman received an MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2001.
He has used this educational experience to expand his clinical practice to include Executive Coaching and Communication Skills Training in the workplace, with an emphasis on conflict resolution between coworkers.

Dr. Sherman opened Sherman Consulting in Appleton in 2003 and practiced in the Fox Cities until 2017. He moved to Madison in 2017. Currently his practice includes the treatment of individual adults and couples. His areas of special interest include stress management and health psychology.

Sandra Mittelsteadt

MSE, LPC

Sandra Mittelsteadt is a seasoned therapist with a passion for supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Marian College in 2002, Sandra’s journey began with an internship at Marquette County Probation and Parole, where she gained insight into the criminal justice system. Her dedication to advocacy led her to work at a domestic violence shelter, advocating for victims and facilitating groups for both victims and offenders.

Earning her Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Community Counseling from UW Oshkosh in 2005, Sandra honed her skills in providing compassionate therapy. Since 2008, Sandra has been in private practice, specializing in depression, anxiety, family dynamics, and marital issues. She has collaborated with organizations such as the Waushara County Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Corrections, providing mental health counseling to court-mandated individuals.

Sandra’s commitment extends beyond her practice as she previously served as chair for a non-profit Nar-anon group, actively contributing to her community’s well-being. With expertise in family counseling, anxiety and depression, couples therapy, domestic abuse, and adolescent counseling, Sandra approaches each client with empathy and dedication, fostering resilience and growth.

Emily Hoch

MSW, LCSW

Emily Hoch is a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, and Level I Internal Family Systems trained therapist. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Emily brings over a decade of experience in outpatient treatment with adults.

Believing in the transformative power of the human spirit, Emily’s therapeutic style is ethical, holistic, and heart-centered. Specializing in complex relational trauma, anxiety, depression, worthlessness, shame, and addiction recovery, Emily fosters healing through a deep understanding of each individual’s unique journey. She works collaboratively with clients to navigate obstacles and rediscover a sense of self and purpose.

In addition to traditional talk and cognitive behavioral therapies, Emily is Level I trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a non-pathologizing psychotherapy model. Recognizing the intricate dynamics of each person’s inner system, Emily facilitates a gentle exploration of protective and wounded inner parts, guiding clients toward healing from anxiety, depression, self-criticism, and relationship challenges. With a commitment to holistic healing, Emily empowers clients to embrace their authentic selves and embark on a journey toward wholeness and fulfillment.

Amy Henning

MSE, LPC

Amy Henning is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor with over two decades of experience in the mental health field. Her educational background includes a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on community mental health counseling from the University of Tennessee at Martin, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.

Amy’s dedication is in supporting individuals of all ages, from children to adults, as well as families, on their journey towards healing and growth. With expertise in childhood developmental disorders, behavioral issues, educational delays, divorce, blended families, anxiety, abuse, and trauma, Amy offers a comprehensive approach to therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Utilizing a client-centered approach, Amy prioritizes understanding and empathy, meeting clients where they are in their journey. She believes in fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and empowering clients to achieve their full potential and growth. Amy’s genuine dedication to her clients shines through her commitment to providing personalized care and support.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Amy enjoys an active lifestyle, spending quality time with her family, engaging in outdoor activities like biking and swimming, participating in triathlons, and exploring new destinations through travel. Her warmth, compassion, and zest for life are evident in both her personal and professional pursuits.

Mike Wendt

LPC

Mike Wendt, a Licensed Professional Counselor, is dedicated to helping individuals navigate their journey toward healing and wellness. Specializing in Somatic Experiencing techniques, Mike offers compassionate support for emotional and physical trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and mood disorders. His approach allows clients to address underlying issues and experience profound healing beyond traditional coping mechanisms.

Certified in EEG Biofeedback, also known as Neurofeedback, by the Biofeedback Certification International Association (BCIA), Mike employs cutting-edge methods to train the brain for regulation and balance. Alongside meditation, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, he tailors treatment plans to suit each client’s unique needs and goals, fostering both physiological and emotional well-being.

Mike finds fulfillment in working with individuals aged 9 and above, guiding them through challenges related to focus, mood regulation, sleep, depression, and anxiety. His commitment to personalized care ensures that clients receive comprehensive support on their path to recovery and growth.
